Peculiarities of Libraries Activities during COVID-19 (Historiographic Aspect)

Abstract: The article explores the peculiarities of the scholarly understanding of library activities during COVID-19. Through the analysis of a broad range of sources, including scientific articles, conference abstracts, library reports, recommendations for organizing work from library associations, as well as legislative documents and regulations, author conducted research and systematized of key themes that frequently arise in scholarly publications on the relevant topics. In the process of categorizing the texts, the primary thematic areas of publications on the issue of library activities during a pandemic were identified: study of users’ activity; libraries digital transformation and the setting of safe conditions during an epidemic. Based on the analysis of scientific sources covering the historical context and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on society and culture, conclusions were drawn regarding the specifics of comprehension practical experience and generalizations of the peculiarities of libraries work during the pandemic.
