"Bibliotechnyi visnyk" in the conditions of social challenges

Abstract: The purpose of the article is to highlight the issue of the functioning of thescientific, theoretical and practical journal "Bibliotechnyi visnyk" in the difficultconditions of social transformations of 2020–2024. Research methods. The principles of objectivity and connection between theory and practice, the principle of the unity of the relationship with modern conditions made it possible to analyze the functioning of the leading professional magazine "Bibliotechnyi visnyk" in the scientific and informational space of the state. It was important touse such methods as socio-communication, analysis and synthesis, cognitive and descriptive. Scientific novelty. For the first time, the functioning of the first professional journal of independent Ukraine, the journal "Bibliotechnyi visnyk", inextremely difficult conditions of social challenges (quarantine restrictions and a fullscale Russian-Ukrainian war) is represented. Conclusions. In light of the complex social transformations that Ukraine and the Ukrainian people are experiencing, the journal "Bibliotechnyi visnyk" is an extremely valuable source for scientific studies in library science, bibliography, book studies, document studies, information science, social communications and other branches of socio-humanitarian studies. The results of Ukrainian and foreign research in library science, bibliography, bookstudies and social communications are presented on the pages of the journal, which allows us to speak of this journal as an important scientific and communication resource that is indexed in various search engines, has a high scientific level of preparation of materials, is distributed through book exchange, the design of articles meets current standards, and the subject matter of materials is constantly expanding.
