Digitalization of archive documents of the Kyiv Metropolitan of the Synodal period and their distribution in social networks

Abstract: The purpose of the article is a generalized study of the process of digitalization of archival documents of the Kyiv Metropolis and dissemination of information about them in social networks. The methodological basis of the article is based on the principles of logic and objectivity with the use of special scientific methods - comparative, structural, statistical, as well as the classification method. Scientific novelty. For the first time, an analysis of the digitization of archival documents of the Kyiv Metropolis at the current stage of the development of archival affairs in Ukraine was carried out, and social networks were analzed for the dissemination of information about this among their users. Conclusion. Digitization of archival documents of the Kyiv Metropolitanate of the Synodal period is gradually, starting from 2022, taking place systematically within the framework of digitization of the archives of Ukraine. In addition to the "FamilySearch" platform, archival documents are also made publicon the websites of archival institutions and on the "Archium" network ("Interarchival Search Portal"), created by the State Archives Service of Ukraine. Materials containing genealogical information (metric books, clear information, confessional information, etc.) are mainly digitized. Currently, the digitization of church administrative and other documentation of the Kyiv Metropolis is being carried out. Today, the interest of usersin the published digital copies of the named documents is clearly monitored. Evidence of this is the distribution of a significant number of digitized materials or information from them and their discussion in social networks, where specialized pages and groupsare also created. Distribution of materials takes place on various platforms and invarious networks, in particular, they can be found on Facebook, the Telegram channel and on specialized sites.
