Abstract: Monthly magazine of the musical culture named «Mузика – масам», which was published at the end of the 20’s of the XX century in Kharkiv city, is one of the main sources of the information about the Ukrainian musical culture and, in particular, about the publication of musical works of that period. Analysis of the magazine materials was carried out, because of the preparation of an electronic database and the search of bibliographic information about musical issues of 1924–1930’s in all possible sources. Research of the magazine «Mузика – масам» allowed adding to scientific circulation more than 60 musical publications of the 20’s that are not registered in any bibliographic index. Also, thanks to the magazine, we managed to find information about the work of some composers of that time. We could determinate the authors of the songs music and words, that had been printed before without indicating the authors. In addition, from this magazine we can know about plenty of vocal works by Ukrainian composers of this period. These compositions were never published before and remained in manuscripts.
