Functions of Electronic and Printed (Paper) Textbooks

Abstract: The article presents an attempt of comparative analysis of several major features of the textbook – the printing and paper, as in recent years with the rapid development of computer technology is developing quite rapidly this type of academic publications as an electronic textbook. Electronic textbook does not come to replace printed and has its complement. He does not lose the traditional functions of a textbook, but only deepens and complements them. If we talk about the functions of the electronic textbook, noting that it creates favorable conditions for the formation of skills of independent cognitive activity obuschayuschihsya with educational information.
