Cooperation Library Facilities as a Means of Optimize their Activities

Abstract: In this article it is justified the thesis about the cooperation in activities of libraries in modern conditions which is one of the main directions of efficiency rise, it is proved that only cooperating of libraries allows to put through the principle made by international library community – «access to the funds instead of ownership». Emphasizes natural necessity of library cooperation without which a full development of libraries is impossible now. It is determined the main objectives of cooperative collaboration of libraries, aimed at increase library service users by mutual accessibility of information resources. It is speaking about home and world experience of cooperative associations of libraries functioning. It is provided specific examples proving that national professional associations not the same as associations in western countries. It is also analyzed the main areas of work in this field and their organizational forms.
