Trachuk Liudmyla А role of web sites of regional universal scientific libraries of Ukraine in information socialization and self-service of users of librariesAbstract: In the conditions of modern market economy the leading type of activity for self-realization and achievement of success of personality is a self-education during all life. In this connection appears the question of increase of level of information culture of individes, which in the conditions of information society also must be carried out during all life. The subjects of information socialization of users of libraries are public libraries, including regional universal scientific libraries (RUSL), which for the authorized users a long ago worked out the system of measures and forms of work, but as yet small known and needing separate research steps of RUSL in relation to information socialization of remote users. For the exposure of the real possibilities of RUSL in relation to information socialization and self-service of users in August in 2014 it was analyzed web sites of twenty three RUSL of Ukraine. As a result is educed that on the sites of RUSL small attention is spared information socialization and self-service of users; the methods of information retrieval are not explained and services for complete realization of which it is necessary to visit libraries are offered. Sites of the analysed libraries are not all-sufficient, valuable and such which satisfy the information necessities of users by resources. They execute mainly the functions of auxiliary advertisings facilities in relation to traditional services of libraries and in a greater degree sent to returning of readers to the walls of library. Therefore development of the system of facilities which will provide the studies of users (both library visitors and remote users) to information technologies and self-service by means of web site of library needs in the special attention. Exactly herein payment of regional universal scientific libraries of Ukraine will consist in creation of single information-bibliographic of communication space of country.
