Honcharenko Marianna, Stepanova Halyna New arrivals as a part of operational librarian and information servicesAbstract: The article shows the powerful potential of new acquisitions and their role in operational satisfaction the growing information needs of library users on the example of work of the department of complex library services.The evolution of the structure and functions of service under the influence of modern information technologies was completed in 2010 with the organization of the Department of Complex Library Services. As a result, the additional fund of humanitarian and technical literature were combined in additional fund of universal profile. The hall exhibition of new acquisitions was joined to it too. The department performs the organization of exhibitions of new acquisitions and operational librarian-bibliographic services with the documents exhibited.To improve the performance of service, we offer:- to implement Search by the type of the document in the current exhibition of hall exhibition of new acquisitions;- to create an archive of exhibitions searchable by industry knowledge and views of the document; - to provide employees of the sector access to work with acts of the continued publications.
