Gorodko Irina, Komarova Nina Information and Analytical Support of the Research Activities by Means of the Selective Dissemination of Information and the Differentiated Service for Manager Systems with the Use of the Information Resources and Services of the Central Science Library of the National Academy of Sciences of BelarusAbstract: The use and promotion of traditional and innovative forms of library services in the information support of science permits to identify the most optimal library resources and services for users of the Central Science Library of the NAS of Belarus. The priority category includes the users ofthe Selective Dissemination of Information and the Differentiated Service for Manager Systems; the requests of these users are updated on the basis of questionnaires and feedback. Information-and-analytical service for this category of users is carried out with the help of electronic library catalog (http://libcat.bas-net.by/) with its analytical base of articles on topical issues of modern science and technology. For this work is also widely used information and technological potential of the problem-oriented databases of own generation «Ecology and Nature Use in Belarus» (http://libcat.bas-net.by/ecology/, http://80.94.164.189:8089 /ecology/about.html) and «Linguistic Belarusistika» (http://libcat.bas-net.by/belmova/), with more than 90% of analytical metadata. Technological capabilities of the developed for these purposes automated SDI system have been successfully tested on the basis of the information resource «Ecology and Nature Use in Belarus». At present, the electronic Catalog of the Central Science Library of the NAS of Belarus is a platform for the introduction of the automated Selective Dissemination of Information and the Differentiated Service for Manager Systems as a new level of service for remote users on individual thematic queries.
