Dobko Tetiana, Shtykh Pavlo Open Source Electronic Archive of Unpublished Reference Books: background, creating and useAbstract: The paper focuses on the study of the coordination of reference-bibliographic activities in Ukraine in 1960–1980-ies. In particular, it concerns the history of formation and development of the the unpublished reference-bibliographical aids holdings at the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine (NBUV) and Research Libraries of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The issues of creating retrospective bibliographic-reference lists of electronic archive collections stored in NBUV within 1950-2014 are also elucidated. The structure of the information resources, issues of cataloging, descriptions, digitizing of unpublished reference-bibliographic aids are discussed. The necessity of keeping tradition and introducing innovations into research libraries activity at the time of the informational transformation of society is underlined. The conclusion is made on the social significance of the information resources to meet user requests concerning universal database, the necessity of inter-agency cooperation in the exchange of reference-bibliographic resources and cooperative formation of archives retrospective reference-bibliographic aids.
