Lopata Olena, Vereschagina Svetoslava The use of electronic information products and their popularization in Halls of periodicals of Vernadsky National Library of UkraineAbstract: The article outlines the modern tendencies and priority directions of library and information services to reader’s magazines periodicals, highlights issues application of the new information and communication technologies for operative information needs of readers Halls of periodicals Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine (further: NBUV) and expansion spectrum of library services and amenities. The consequences of the research work and practice of periodicals collection forming in the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine are presented. The functional aspect of the subdivision at the current stage are viewed, especially the maintenance of electronic information resources and considered. The result of investigation of the satisfaction degree of information and library services of readers using electronic catalogue are presented; possibilities of new services being implemented in libraries are described. The main results of research the use of electronic information products visitors Halls of periodicals NBUV. The electronic exhibition of periodicals as a unique product of an electronic service in libraries is considered. The questions of the balanced filling of informative potential of readers Halls of periodicals are lighted up on condition of completing printing and electronic edition. Suggestions for improving of consumer information under conditions of automated information retrieval systems and harmonization readers the information needs with the scientific possibilities of the library.
