Informative representativeness memoirs as a source for the history ofOdessa Hromada of 1870–1890’s

Abstract: The questions of memoirs informative representativeness of leaders of the Ukrainian Gromada movement of the late nineteenth century as a source from the history of Odessa Gromada of 70–90-ies XIX century are investigated. It is singled out that despite some subjectivity, memoirs are important in discovery of a number of key aspects from the history of the Ukrainian national-democratic movement of this period by researchers. On the whole memoirs of community leaders of Ukrainian Gromada’s to disclose their wide range of research on the history and formation of the Odessa Gromada 1870–1890's, its structure, biographical information of members of the Gromada’s movement and others.
