Boiko Yurii Epistolary heritage of Yevhen Chykalenko: source-aspectAbstract: The article analyzes the correspondence Eugene Chykalenko of Ukrainian public figures and politicians, literary critics and artists, poets and playwrights. Among the recipients Chykalenko worth noting M. Hrushevskyi, S. Yefremov, V. Vynnychenko, A. Oles, I. Franko, B. Grinchenko. Correspondence Eugene Chykalenko and its recipients reflects the important events of cultural and social life in a wide geographical and chronological limits. Geographically sheets covering events in Russian and Austro-Hungarian Empire, Soviet Ukraine and Russia, Czechoslovakia. Reveals life as urban centers (Odessa, Kyiv, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Podebrady) and rural areas, including modern Odessa region (Ananyivschyna). Chronologically epistolary covers the period from 1892 until the last years of his life figure - 1929 smallest letters were written and produced in the first years of Ukrainian Revolution 1917–1918. And in the first years of exile E. Chykalenko from 1919-1921. Correspondence displays process of becoming E. Chykalenko personality, the formation of his political views, E. Chykalenko interconnection between different political forces working for the benefit of the Ukrainian people.
