Hurzhii Ivanna Baron Theodore R. Shtejngel Library collection of in funds Vernadsky National Library of UkraineAbstract: On the basis of analysis of the printed and handwritten sources, and also specialized literature, the value of private library collection of scientific and social and political figure T. Shteingel is reflected for historical bibliology. The process of her forming and being place are traced. In the article the basic scientific departments of the personal library of baron T. Shteingel are described: geographical, historical, philosophical, medical, department of art, divinity and magazines. Thoroughly described editions from every department of private collection of scientist, that kept in the department of library collections and historical collections of the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine. The special attention is spared to the books that have donative and proprietary inscriptions. Detailed bibliographic description of editions from the private library of T.
