Prystai Halyna The role of the Franko Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Universal Scientific Library in developing cultural and artistic environment of PrykarpattiaAbstract: The author elucidate the role and place of Ivan Franko Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Universal Scientific Library in the development of cultural and artistic environment of Prykarpattia. Ground its importance in the formation of the national information space. Analyze the value of the library in improving the use of information resources for the residents. The article considers the socio-cultural sphere of structural units of the Ivan Franko Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Universal Scientific Library, gives examples of models of their electronic and printed resources of the art literature department on the positioning of artists of Ivano-Frankivsk. Characterizes the features, specificity and dynamics of changes in library publishing products in sociocultural space of the region, gives examples of its use in joint projects with cultural institutions. The author attempts to prove the effectiveness of diverse activity of the Ivan Franko Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Universal Scientific Library in the region and identifies further promising development trends. Highlights that a successful result in the dissemination of information on cultural heritage of the region, traditions, creativity of artists from different genres of art, scientists, writers the library reaches due to communication with information, educational, cultural and artistic institutions, creative unions, public organizations. Notes that the Ivan Franko Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Universal Scientific Library is considered to be the centre of social life, sustaining element of contemporary socio-cultural infrastructure of Ivano-Frankivsk, active conductor of cultural policy in the region. Stresses that under these socio-economic conditions it is actual and necessary for library institutions to find sponsors, volunteers or groups of partners interested in investing in projects and their implementation, involvement of unused resources.
