"Red way": magazine publications as a source of study of the literary revival of the 20’s in Ukraine

Abstract: The 20th of the twentieth century is a complicated, controversial, insufficiently researched period in the life of Ukraine as a whole and in the history of our literature. Those were the first years of the rebuilding period, the years of the new economic policy, one of whose acts was the permission of the private publishing houses in November 1921. This time was decisive in the development of the Ukrainian literary and art critique magazine. In 1920 there were about 136 new journals, in 1923 more than 250. The versatility of the world perception, the diversity of styles, genres, themes, pluralistic path of development determines the activity of the magazine "Chervony shlyakh" in the 20's. . On the basis of setting goals and tasks of its functioning, the study of materials one can identify the objective laws of development of literature and the literature at that time and to design their influence on the present.

Keywords: literary and artistic periodicals, rebirth, journal, literary slavic studies, historical process.
