Polovyk Svitlana, Makarova Olena World’s Media as an Instrument of Formation of State President’s ImageAbstract: Using the example of content analysis of data from the informational-abstract bulletin «Institute of Presidency in Foreign Mass Media», produced by the Fund of the Presidents of Ukraine, a structural subdivision of V. I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine, the thematic and evaluative-modal characteristics of the institution of presidential power through the prism of perception in foreign Internet media is determined. The research methodology is based on the application of abstraction and synthesis methods, as well as content analysis of text information and text arrays. The features of problem-thematic characteristics of the image of state presidents in the world mass media are revealed and analyzed; the main evaluative characteristics of the activities of presidents in theit native and foreign political arena in terms of the formation of their image, are identified and characterized; the rating of state leaders with indicators according to their mention by international observers is identified and characterized; actual theoretical ideas of the process of formation and transformation of a state president’s image in the world media is supplemented. It has been established that the role of the personality in politics is currently increasing, and the personalization of power is taking place. All these processes require reflection and impartial assessments, in particular from the media in the context of coverage of certain aspects of the institute of presidency functioning, which necessitates a thorough study, and according to the study results media will be able to optimize their activities, making them more effective.
