Electronic profile of academician M. H. Zhulynskyi in resources VNLU

Abstract: Purpose of the article: an example of the figure of a modern Ukrainian scientist, Mykola H. Zhulynskyi, shows the role and significance of electronic libraries in the accumulation of information on the activities of Ukrainian scholars. The author sets the task to establish which part of the scientific development of M. Zhulynskyi and the literature on his life and activity is stored in electronic resources of VNLU. Methodology is to apply comparative, narrative, historical and sociological methods. It is their combination that allows us to reveal and analyze certain models of scientists. Scientific novelty lies not only in the detailed disclosure of the main activities of Mykola Zhulynskyi as a literary critic, but also in the coverage of the results of this activity in the portal "Scientists of Ukraine", electronic directories "Personalities", "Personalities of NAS of Ukraine", "Biographical resources" of site VNLU’s. The bibliography of the life and work of the scientist today is quite numerous and diverse. It covers various aspects and aspects, but it is the electronic profile, which is a reflection of the information needs of modern researchers, has not yet been adequately reflected in scientific studies. Conclusions. The library’s website has a branched structure, a complex system of interconnected portals, subject headings, directories. Documents are indexed at parallel levels of different sections. The table shows the schema for searching biobibliographic information about scientists, which greatly simplifies the work with resources of site users. Due to the ease of use and accessibility of this search system, everyone, even the least knowledgeable beginner, has the opportunity to quickly find the necessary information on the personalities of Ukrainian scientists. The main attention is paid to the portal "Scientists of Ukraine", electronic directories "Personals", "Persons of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine", "Biographical resources"; the items on which they are filled are detailed.
