The influence of library scientific periodicals to the science development in the 20-30s of the xx century

Abstract: Periodicals in general perform a broad social function, and its history can be equated with the history of the people, nation, society and national consciousness, so the study is the influence of library periodicals of the 20-30s of the twentieth century for the development of science helps to assess the stages of development of library science and to form a holistic picture of the modern Ukrainian library science tradition, as publications directly influenced the process of science. The aim of the article is to analyze library periodicals of the 20s and 30s of the XX century in terms of their impact on science. Research methods. To achieve this goal, the following general scientific principles of the theory of cognition were applied: historicism, systematicity, active creative reflection and objectivity. General scientific and special research methods were also used. Scientific novelty. Was considered the problems of articles and the influence of library periodicals for the development of science of the 20-30s of the XX century. Conclusions. Scientific periodicals of the library direction of the studied period played an important role in the formation and development of both branch science and library business, as its pages reflected not only current topics of library science, but also reflected the events of socio-political and cultural life that directly influenced the process science and practice.
