Development of activities of scientific libraries in the conditions of transformation of scientific communications Abstract: The purpose of this research is to shed light on experience of implementing the innovative project "Operational Kaizen". The present study examines the influence of the Kaizen system on the quality of services provided in main library of Iran and the mediating role of Kaizen in the relationship between total quality management and organization’s performance, describes the basic concepts of philosophical practice. Research methodology is based on systemic and structural approaches, methods of logical and structural-functional analysis, etc. Scientific novelty. The peculiarities of the introduction of the Japanese philosophical practice of Kaizen in to the work of the National Library of Iran are determined. Research will contribute to greater awareness of native experts, mastering foreign experience, developing organizational skills and improving the processes of domestic institutions. Conclusions. The research findings show that the success of any organization is highly dependent on choosing the right strategic orientation and there is a significant relationship between Kaizen principles and organizational performance. The implementation of the Japanese concept of Kaizen in the National Library of Iran has had a significant impact on optimizing the activities of all parts of the organization, proving that the greatest efficiency can be achieved given the organizational aspect of development. Organizational training, adaptation of staff to change, improvement of management processes and the formation of a strong corporate culture make it possible to create an enterprise of the future, the values of which meet the requirements of today’s competitive environment.
