Corporate culture in the context of modern libraries perspective development

Abstract: The article deals with topical problems of the influence of corporate culture on the work and development of library under modern conditions of increased competition in the internal and external information markets within socio-cultural space. It was found out that well-developed library corporate culture positively influences coordinated work in the establishment, harmonises relations between librarians, attracts readers and promotes social communication and interlibrary cooperation, which in turn will make library popular among broad social circles. The author of the article defines the essence of the concept of library corporate culture and features of its development; taking into account the levels of corporate culture its main structural components are mentioned, and the main characteristics of each of them are presented; the effective typology of corporate culture for practical use in library is suggested; the sequence of stages of library corporate culture development is considered, and the principles concerning the initial stage of its formation are determined. On the basis of the conducted research the author formulates some recommendations concerning the peculiarities of corporate culture development in the libraries of Ukraine.
